Sechrist Industries, Inc. is the world’s premier manufacturer of medical hyperbaric chambers, infant respiratory ventilators and medical gas mixers. Founder Ron Sechrist was a mechanical engineer whose passion was to develop and manufacture the finest medical equipment to help sick patients around the world. In 1973, he led the efforts to fabricate the first hyperbaric oxygen chamber for medical use. Since that first chamber, Sechrist Industries has grown into one of the best known and best respected designer and manufacturer of hyperbaric and ventilation medical products in the world. As the company grows, the vision of Ron Sechrist continues to imbue its employees with his passion and dedication to patients everywhere. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) provides critical extra oxygen support for treatment of serious medical conditions such as decompression sickness, acute cyanide poisoning, thermal burns, diabetic wounds, compromised skin grafts and carbon monoxide poisoning. In the past several years, the use of HBOT treatment has expanded greatly, partly because of the great increase in diabetic foot wounds. By 1995, Sechrist Industries had become the world’s leading manufacturer of monoplace hyperbaric chambers. Now, Sechrist Industries is the world’s leading manufacturer of hyperbaric oxygen chambers, selling the technology to more than 150 countries through more than 100 domestic and international distributors. In 1979, the company added the development of the first infant ventilator controlled by a microprocessor. The newly patented MILLENNIUM® SMARTSYNC™ system now synchronizes ventilation for improved care for premature and sick infants. Today, Sechrist Industries’ Respiratory Products Division is a major manufacturer of critical care ventilators for neonates, infants and children. Sechrist also has developed and manufactured a full line of ventilators, monitoring equipment, low-pressure gas mixers and related products. Sechrist also manufactures air and oxygen gas mixers for many other medical applications, including heart-lung bypass surgery. They manufacture their full line of products in their own Anaheim, California facility, controlling each aspect of research, development, design, manufacture and quality control. The fully integrated facility is the only one in the U.S. that includes complete capabilities of acrylic tube casting and finishing. The facility also includes its own paint shop, assembly and testing capabilities.
